White Rock Chapter is located 35 miles north of Crownpoint within the Eastern Navajo Agency. The area is a very remote part of the Navajo Nation. The chapter land extend east into the "checkerboard" area and west into the Navajo Reservation. Most of the chapter area is in San Juan County and a smaller portion in McKinley County. The Navajo name Tse' ligaii is in reference to a nearby mesa which is an earth tone white.
The White Rock Chapter conducts monthly meetings to keep residents informed; residents have a forum to express their opinions to their Navajo Nation Council Delegate or to decide on matters concerning their chapter.
Chapter became LGA Certified on December 21, 2010 at the Navajo Nation Council Chambers Window Rock, AZ

The community has a lot of coal, which the local people rely on for heating fuel. Due to the remoteness of the community, the chapter experiences difficulty with development efforts. In 1990, the chapter finally received power line extensions and electricity. The "Checkerboard" area always involves jurisdictional
problems. Many of the governmental services are shared with the nearby Lake Valley Chapter.
